A resource for Business Analysts
Here is a new resource for business analysts.
In general, this is a very important skill set and we do not give it sufficient attention in Agile, in my opinion.
Yes, there are issues.
The people who have been business analysts are good people. Yes, we do not want a special role (especially as a standard special role) called BA. We only want three roles, mainly because that leads to higher saturation in the team (everybody knows everything), fewer silos.
But the BA’s skills are valuable. It is important and useful to define the so-called requirements.
If a PO cannot do all of that, then someone, inside or outside the team, has to help. That someone was or is often a BA.
Whatever you call that person or those people, the skill sets around this are still needed.
